What is it about?

The event seeks to establish a space for the multicultural exchange of experiences and best practices in computer science and computing education. The presentations are expected to provide input for establishing strategies for integrating active methodologies into the teaching-learning process, promote the creation of cooperation and collaboration networks between national and international professionals, disseminate experiences and best practices in computer science teaching, and establish a space for debate that allows for the collection of concerns, proposals, and projects, along with university-business partnership models for computer science teaching.

Topics of interest

  • Interdisciplinary factors in computer science and computer science teaching: Ethical, social, and/or economic aspects, Philosophical issues, Historical analysis.
  • Computer science and computer science education at the beginning of a computer science degree (tertiary or university): Heterogeneity of incoming students, Experiences in introductory courses, University-pre-university education relationships, First programming language, Computer science teacher training.
  • Computer science teaching: different theoretical approaches and/or practical applications, methodologies and modalities: Mental models, Constructivism, Active learning, Computer science teaching modalities (in-person, blended, distance learning), Assessment modalities, Accessibility in computer science teaching.
  • Problems and strategies for addressing computer science teaching.
  • Tools, experiences, other strategies and/or tools for teaching and learning computer science.
  • University-business partnership models: Curriculum design based on industry-required factors, Promotion and training for entrepreneurial initiatives, Employment and student dropout rates.
